A Look at the Classic Car Club of America

February 21st, 2009

The Classic Car Club of America is a nonprofit organization that exists to help its members share information about foreign and domestic cars that were built during the period of 1925 and 1948. Operating under this strict time frame, the club is considered a valuable resource for enthusiasts who manage to get their hands on vehicles that fall within its focus range.

While most antique and classic car owners are not likely to have models that would fit the definition of what this organization deems “classic,” the organization is lauded for its dedication to and promotion of some of the earliest and most notable cars ever put on the road.

Founded in 1951 in New York State, the club continues today with a strong following of members. It produces a quarterly magazine, The Classic Car, and also produces a bulletin eight times a year. Members of this organization benefit not only from these publications, but also an ability to pick each other’s brains about classic cars, their care and their restoration. The club also operates its own store that offers access to parts and accessories for cars that fall within its description of classic.

Membership in the Classic Car Club of America is open to anyone who supports the preservation and promotion of classic cars. To date, the group has more than 6,000 members in the United States and beyond.

You can enjoy classic cars whether you own one, rent one or admire those at shows and events.
